General Summary:
The Gaming Attendant for Jackpot Jane’s is responsible for making and serving drinks to our players. Ensure player satisfaction by providing quality customer service. Will need to interact verbally with players to create an upbeat and fun atmosphere.
Essential Functions:
- Maintains cleanliness of the bar and establishment, inside and out of the building.
- Responsible the opening and closing tasks as required.
- Complete inventory
- Ensures stations are clean and properly stocked.
- Prepares and serve drinks properly.
- Keeps updated on current drink specials.
- Offering the patrons a complimentary beverage or snack
- Responsible for answering the phones.
- Put away liquor orders, stock, and replenish.
- Responsible for suggestive selling to increase sales.
- Maintains a clean, organized bar area throughout the shift.
- Should possess the ability to multitask and be aware of several guests’ progression through the bar experience.
- Cash handling: Closes out all checks in an orderly and timely fashion. Provides the player with accurate and complete change, coupled with a sincere, "Thank you," and invitation to return.
- Counts Cashbox
- Ensures enough glassware in varying sizes and that they are void of fingerprints, spots, or lipstick.
- Sanitize machines in-between players
- Checks players for proper identification, manages payment method and serves alcohol according to State, Federal, and corporate liquor regulations.

Responsible for ensuring all safety procedures are followed including, but not limited to
- Turning off lights, equipment
- Setting alarm and exiting building safely
- Locking and securing all entrances and exits
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary
- Must be able to work independently and also as part of a team
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must have the ability to multi-task and have excellent organizational skills
- Must be dependable
- Must adhere to all Federal, State, and Corporate liquor regulations about serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated players to ensure all laws are followed.
- Must be willing to go over and above for both customers and co-workers
Qualification Standards
Communication:
Strong communication skills. Skills should include the ability to deal effectively with vastly diverse groups of people and clients.
Licenses or Certificates:
- Must be of legal serving age
Computer Skills:
- Preferred: Point of Sale System
Experience:
Required: Previous customer service experience
Preferred: Previous experience bartending
Appearance:
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance including hair color.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance
- Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction
- Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), for example, using a keyboard
- Ability to see within normal parameters
- Ability to hear within normal range
- Ability to see within normal parameters
- Must be able to stoop or sit for long periods of time.
