Role Overview

GameGuard, a fast-growing hunting, fishing, and lifestyle apparel and accessory company, is seeking a hands-on, creative Brand Director to execute brand marketing and merchandising efforts that position, communicate, and activate the GameGuard brand in the market.


This role leads marketing execution, establishes disciplined marketing systems, and deploys internal and external resources to drive awareness and demand, while operating within the strategy set by the President. This is a high-impact and high-visibility role, requiring frequent collaboration with the rest of the GameGuard leadership team.


We are looking for a hands-on swiss-army-knife who can lead the execution of existing B2B and B2C marketing programs, provide merchandising guidance to connect product to market, and manage our e-commerce presence while developing new community-oriented initiatives, defining our content strategy, and growing the Marketing team.


Core Responsibilities

Marketing Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and coordinate marketing staff and external partners
  • Define and manage the multi-channel marketing budget
  • Track and report on marketing KPIs to support learning and visibility

Brand Positioning & Product Merchandising

  • Execute clear, consistent brand positioning across all marketing channels
  • Own brand voice, messaging frameworks, and narrative consistency
  • Provide market analysis to support future product development
  • Lead product merchandising by defining assortment strategy and market positioning

Marketing Campaign Execution

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns and initiatives to drive growth across all channels: DTC, retail, and corporate promotions
  • Lead DTC strategy, merchandising, and website functionality
  • Support trade shows, events, and sponsorships in partnership with Customer Experience and Sales

Content & Community Development

  • Define content needs for marketing campaigns, and coordinate photo and video shoots for both short- and long-form storytelling
  • Work with Product team to support new style launches, from concept to market positioning and product photography and videography
  • Grow our relationships with relevant communities through ambassadors, influencers, and sponsorships

Marketing Systems & Discipline

  • Establish and maintain content calendars, workflows, and execution rhythms
  • Create and update GameGuard’s seasonal Product Catalog, Price Lists, and Order Forms

  • Strong integration between Marketing, Product, Customer Experience, and Sales
  • Leadership confidence in marketing outputs and insights
  • Development of appropriate online marketplaces to maximize online sales

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years experience leading brand marketing or integrated marketing execution, with merchandising experience a plus
  • Professional or personal passion for Hunting, Fishing, and/or Outdoor activities
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a demonstrated ability to own the content development process from ideation to publication
  • Knowledge of traditional, digital, content, influencer programs, and social media marketing
  • Data-driven, with proficiency in Attentive, TripleWhale, Google Analytics, Shopify, and Meta
  • Experience managing agencies, contractors, and cross-functional workflows
  • High integrity, consistency, and follow-through

Salary Range: $90,000-$115,000
