Job Title: Event Support
Location: Chicago, IL
Job Type: Part-Time/Seasonal
Pay: $22/hr
Position Summary: As a support member for Gameday Productions Services (GPS), you will be slotted into the Shuttle Stop Manager position, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation for event attendees between their hotels and the event venue while providing exceptional customer service to guests coming from across the nation.
Key Responsibilities Across Roles:
- Assist attendees with ticketing inquiries and provide information about shuttle routes and schedules.
- Oversee an assigned shuttle stop location throughout event hours, ensuring the safe and organized boarding of shuttle buses for event attendees.
- Collaborate with your fellow Shuttle Stop Managers to coordinate boarding procedures and uphold a structured queue.
- Adjust crowd management strategies according to the unique dynamics of the shuttle stop location.
- Acquaint yourself with the different wristband types to accurately identify ticketholders eligible for shuttle services.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and event organizers via group messages and GPS’s event management platform, including submission of shuttle departure times at your site throughout the event.
- Ensure possession of a personal mobile device to facilitate seamless communication and coordination.
Role Details:
- Workdays: July 23rd-27th
- Mandatory Virtual Training beforehand. Dates TBD
- Shift duration: 8 -16 hours
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in event management or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Able to utilize a personal smartphone for vehicle tracking
