What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hostess position at Gameday Social?
We are looking for a friendly, high-energy hostess to provide a memorable first impression for our guests. You will manage reservations, coordinate seating to balance server workloads, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere from entry to exit.
Guest Reception: Greet all arriving and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact.
Reservation Management: Manage the waitlist and booking systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy) while providing accurate wait time estimates.
Seating Coordination: Escort guests to tables and manage a seating chart to ensure an even workload for the waitstaff.
Inquiry Handling: Answer phones professionally to handle reservations, takeout orders, or general guest questions.
Front-of-House Upkeep: Maintain the cleanliness of the entryway, host stand, and menus.
