Job Summary:
While under the supervision of the Medical Provider, the Medical Assistant is responsible for taking vital signs, administering injections and medication, developing client care plans, assessing clients and more. $20-30/hour bonus and healthcare.
Competencies, Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measurement.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Must display excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skill in using computer programs and applications.
- Must have schedule flexibility, as well as proper attendance/punctuality.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR).
- Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist
- One (1) year of relevant clinical experience. (Preferred)
Job Duties:
- To work collaboratively within the Gameday environment to enhance the delivery of primary care services.
- Work in conjunction with the Medical Providers as appropriate to incorporate the Gameday process to provide client centered and outcomes oriented care.
- Develop long-term, trusting relationships with both clients and peers in providing the primary care services of Gameday.
- Assist in the delivery of disease management and health promotion programs according to Gameday practice guidelines.
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate medical records as per policy.
- Assist in developing and implementing client self-management programs.
- Provide medical services to the client population in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures of Gameday, state and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Take medical histories.
- Perform Venipuncture
- Taking vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature and weight.
- Basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas.
- Administering medications as prescribed by a physician.
- Giving injections of medication as prescribed by a physician.
- Immunizations as prescribed by a physician.
- Entering information into computer systems.
- Scheduling client appointments.
- Keeping medical records current.
- Schedule appointments, including direct walk-in clients, as per established policies and procedures.
- Respond to and/or send emails and faxes daily.
- Register all clients as they come in, and collect all proper documentation needed.
- Assemble new client electronic charts (EHRs), maintain “spot checking” for data completeness and signatures.
- Upload all additional client documentation directly into the DrChrono system.
- Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the clinic.
- Work closely with the Manager, and Medical Providers to assure smooth client flow and cut down on waiting time. Follow up on “no show” clients on a daily basis.
- Communicate client’s problems/complaints to the Manager.
- Other related duties as the job requires.
