Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently and safely
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health regulations and cleanliness standards
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas to support smooth restaurant operations
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large trays or bulk supplies with proper technique to prevent injury
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, kitchen floors, and work areas through regular cleaning and sanitizing
- Support food preparation activities by organizing kitchen supplies and assisting culinary staff when needed
- Adhere to food safety management protocols during all stages of dish handling and cleaning processes
Skills
- Familiarity with dishwashing equipment and basic kitchen tools such as knives (knife skills)
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and repetitive motions
- Experience with food safety management systems and maintaining cleanliness standards in busy kitchens
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
