Role Description As a Host at Game Show Battle Rooms in Orlando, FL, you will lead groups through high-energy, interactive game show experiences in an on-site setting. This part-time role involves welcoming and orienting guests, explaining game rules, facilitating multiple rounds of gameplay, and keeping the energy high while engaging all participants. You will operate basic game and AV equipment, manage timing and transitions between games, and adapt your hosting style to different group sizes and event types. Hosts also support light event setup and teardown, coordinate with team members and management to ensure smooth operations, and promote a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for all guests. Depending on the event, you may assist with bar or food coordination, answer questions about offerings, and encourage repeat visits or referrals.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear speaking, active listening, and confident group facilitation.
- Proven Customer Service experience, with a focus on hospitality, guest satisfaction, and handling questions or concerns in a positive manner.
- Ability to assist with or deliver Training for guests on game rules and experiences, as well as collaborate in learning internal procedures.
- Familiarity with Food & Beverage service or coordination in an event, bar, or hospitality environment is a plus.
- Comfort with Sales-related activities, such as promoting add-ons, future bookings, and special event packages.
- Prior experience in entertainment, theater, performance, or public speaking is highly beneficial.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods, lift light equipment, and work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented, with a positive attitude and commitment to an inclusive guest experience.
