The Social Creative Director is a critical member of our team who is responsible for managing and overseeing creative output of all assigned social media workstreams and related creative team members for both existing and future clients. They are responsible for ensuring that we are pushing for best in class social media content and creative outputs and must demonstrate an ability to execute compelling creative themselves while also providing direction and feedback for the creative teammates on their account(s) to learn, develop, and execute. The Social Creative Director will be responsible for ensuring that creative processes are being implemented and that a standard of efficiency, consistency, and excellence is upheld within both our approach to the work and ultimately the product and services that we deliver for our clients. They will be responsible for ensuring that the social creative team upholds strong collaboration and dependability across departments and other teammates on their workstreams.
The Social Creative Director has a deep passion for the work and fully appreciates the power of social media to build community, connect consumers to their favorite talent and brands, and turn moments into movements. They have experience building consistent brands through low and hi-fi social content, infusing creative direction that has stood out on social and resonated with audiences. They must have a keen understanding of trends and formats on a variety of social media platforms and what it takes to bring ideas to life, as well as an ability to understand a client's needs—reading in between the lines to predict and react to those needs. They are consistently and proactively looking for ways to expand and grow our creative outputs by identifying areas where we can pitch bigger ideas and create groundbreaking work while still making sure the evergreen creative is compelling and engaging. They must always exhibit sound judgment and effective problem-solving skills and must spearhead and inspire innovative ideas and execution of the work within their internal team.
The Social Creative Director will be expected to oversee a multitude of tasks; including, but not limited to:
- Leading and overseeing the creative output within assigned social media work streams, leading the development and growth of individuals within the social creative department, challenging the team to consistently approach all tasks and needs creatively and dynamically, and providing guidance and motivation to the team to continuously deliver upon the expectations of our clients.
- Leading and overseeing the development of social creative toolkits for assigned work streams, creating templates and consistent structure for efficient and on-brand asset execution.
- Leading and collaborating on new business opportunities that involve social media creative as the main service or extensions of other services.
- Establishing rapport and positioning oneself as a trusted senior leader in the social media space for all of our clients, confidently displaying an ability to provide clear direction and thoughtful solutions both internally and externally.
- Developing and encouraging the social creative team members to create industry leading social media work
- Monitoring social media creative best practices and recommending actions/next steps to optimize content
- Providing feedback for social art directors and designers on assigned work streams
- Demonstrating a commitment to the entire agency team by exhibiting a positive mindset about the work, our clients, and agency staff, while always leading by example when it comes to agency processes and policies.
- Identifying and communicating social media creative resourcing needs and adjustments to agency leadership, playing a critical role in the interview process for potential candidates, assisting in the on-boarding of freelance and full-time hires within the department, and providing reports on staff utilization, project needs or deficiencies, and overall employee performance.
Requirements:
- 7 years of experience leading social creative for leading brands within an agency setting
- Extreme passion for social media creative and the power it has to inspire, entertain, and educate consumers
- Excellent communication, organizational, and oral presentation skills
- Highly competent with Adobe Creative Suite, social platform creator tools like CapCut, Google Slides, and other preferred social content creation platforms.
- Visual design and direction background with a keen understanding of building cutting edge creative direction for the ever-changing social media landscape
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment with tight deadlines across multiple accounts
- Ability to manage teams utilizing delegation, mentorship and thought leadership in the area of social media
- Ability to own and execute certain creative tasks they specialize in
- Passion and love for sport, culture, and music – especially music!
The pay range for this position is $175,000 - $200,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
