Duties

• Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients according to established recipes and menus.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Help with catering events by preparing and packaging food items for delivery or service.
• Utilize various kitchen tools and equipment safely, including knives and cooking appliances.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
• Participate in ongoing training related to culinary skills and food handling practices.

Skills

• Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
• Experience in food preparation or cooking within a professional kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, contributing positively to the kitchen atmosphere.
• A passion for the culinary arts and eagerness to learn more about the food industry.
