Job Summary
We are seeking a Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to maintain an efficient flow within the restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times.
- Provide accurate wait times to guests and communicate effectively with the dining staff.
- Answer phone calls, take to-go orders, and assist with curbside pickups.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, including menus and waiting areas.
- Assist with guest inquiries, providing information about menu items and restaurant services.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and guest relations throughout the dining experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Host/Host or in a similar food service role is preferred, but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Experience in restaurant or hotel settings is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask effectively and stay calm in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of serving etiquette and hospitality best practices is beneficial.
