Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Competitive Team Gymnastics Coach to inspire and develop young athletes in a dynamic, supportive environment. This role involves coaching competitive gymnastics, designing training programs, and fostering a positive team culture that encourages growth, discipline, and excellence. Duties
- Plan and deliver engaging training sessions tailored to athletes’ skill levels and competitive goals
- Develop individualized training programs that focus on technique, strength, flexibility, and routines
- Monitor athlete progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback
- Promote safe training practices by enforcing proper warm-up, cool-down, and injury prevention protocols
- Foster a positive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork
- Coordinate with parents and guardians to communicate athlete development and competition schedules
- Assist with organizing competitions, meets, and team events to showcase athletes’ progress
- Maintain a clean, organized training area that adheres to health and safety standards
- Support the overall growth of the gymnastics program by contributing ideas for curriculum improvement
- Travel to and from competitions
Experience
- Proven experience coaching competitive gymnastics or similar sports at youth or adult levels
- Strong background in sports coaching with knowledge of gymnastics techniques and routines. Preferably Xcel program but Developmental Program is accepted.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a teaching or childcare setting
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to motivate young athletes and maintain discipline
- Prior experience working with a team program is required
