What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time EMS Lab Instructor position at Galveston College?
Job Summary:
The Part-Time EMS Lab Instructor provides hands-on instruction and skills supervision for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) students in a laboratory setting. This position supports student skill development in accordance with course objectives, state and national EMS standards, and institutional policies.
Required Qualifications:
Current certification as a NREMT Paramedic, Advanced EMT or EMT or state of Texas certification/licensure as a Paramedic, AEMT, or EMT.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates of applied science degree in EMS.
- Prior experience in EMS education or skills instruction.
- Familiarity with simulation-based training and EMS lab equipment.
- Certified EMS Instructor
Special Requirements:
- Subject to a criminal background check prior to employment.
