What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at Galpao Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse?
Dishwasher
- Ensure equipment is clean, in working order and ready for shift.
- Clean and stock guest restrooms before shift.
- Verify dishwashing station has adequate detergents/wash agents and dishwasher temp. meets minimum.
- Assist kitchen in trash, recycling, and compost disposal in large bins by back door.
- Handle all glassware, dishes, and china in a safe and carefully manner to avoid breaking.
- Load racks carefully, use appropriate rack of dishes, and avoid over/under filling the racks.
- Be mindful when washing equipment small parts or dishes are not lost or thrown away.
- Check the dishwasher frequently for any loose silverware or small wares.
- Follow knife and equipment safety. Be aware of sharp tools and hot equipment/items and use common sense to identify and resolve any safety hazards in the kitchen.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean area around the kitchen area when needed.
- Perform duties in a prompt and efficient manner with a smile and positive attitude.
**This restaurant operates seven days a week. Because of the nature of the restaurant industry, employees may be asked to work different hours, holiday schedules, or to perform special duties based on the customer demand – flexibility is required.**
