Production Runner

As a Runner at Galls you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate movement of good within the distribution center or warehouse. They ensure that products are organized and distributed throughout the production area according to company standards and customer requirements. The distribution runner works closely with other warehouse personnel to meet daily distribution goals and maintain inventory accuracy.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Inventory Management – Distribution runners may be responsible for keeping track of inventory levels within the production area. This could involve organizing totes by bridge dates (FIFO) bullpen stock count and flagging any discrepancies.

• Maximize the operational flow in the manufacturing area.
  • Transportation of Goods – Distribution runners may use hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts to transport goods within the warehouse. They ensure that items are moved safely and efficiently to their designated locations.
  • Communication – Foster open communication among team members and encourage collaboration and problem-solving to address challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Organization and Cleanliness – Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sweeping floors, organizing shelves, and removing empty pallets or packaging materials. Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Adherence to Policies and Procedures – Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Adhere to established guidelines for product handling, storage, and transportation to minimize errors and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Enhanced Duties – this position requires the runner to be able to interact with the leadership team & carry out specific takes to completion above the normal duties of a runner. Ability to interpret & follow out instructions with minimal supervision.

WHAT YOU BRING
• Prior experience working in warehouse setting strongly desired
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to understand and execute instructions for daily tasks and to read orders accurately
• Proactive problem-solving skills, and ability to complete basic math to include adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
• Highly organized and strong attention to accuracy and detail
• Ability to work in fast pace environment and meet daily productivity standards
• Ability to work overtime during work week and weekends, while complying with Galls attendance policy
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time, work in a non-climate-controlled environment, and lift up to 50lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
