Description
Galloway Ridge is an upscale continuing care retirement community offering top-quality care in a warm, welcoming environment—and we’re looking for a compassionate, skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team.
This role allows you to serve as both a Staff Nurse and a Charge Nurse, provide support and guide fellow nursing team members, deliver high quality care, and gain experience in administrative tasks.
The schedule for this position is Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7 pm - 7 am.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver compassionate, hands-on care to residents across multiple settings — Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Dementia Care, and Independent Living.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and obtain specimens as needed.
- Provides oversight for areas assigned along with administrative tasks
- Monitor residents’ health and well-being, identify and document changes, and promptly report concerns.
- Respond to medical and emergency situations throughout the community, including independent living neighborhoods; triage and prioritize care needs.
Requirements
- Valid LPN license
- Basic Life Support and AED Certifications
- Experience in long-term, geriatric, or assisted living care preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and respond calmly in urgent situations
