As a Civil Project Engineer, you’ll play a key role in preparing site designs and engineering documents, supporting project permitting, and working closely with internal teams and external clients. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Applying civil engineering principles to site layout, grading, stormwater, water and sewer, erosion control, and roadway/fueling design.
- Assisting in technical writing for civil reports, letters, and permit documents.
- Drafting construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Preparing improvement plans, specifications, and permit applications.
- Performing and reviewing calculations for drainage systems, water/wastewater, transportation, and site earthwork quantities.
- Recognizing discrepancies in data and resolving them through detailed, step-by-step processes.
- Managing multiple projects with awareness of schedule, budget, and client expectations.
- Playing an active role in business development and client engagement.
Education:
- Bachelor of Engineering from a board-approved, four-year engineering curriculum.
- 4 years of civil engineering experience required.
- At least 2 years of land development experience is highly preferred.
- Possession of a PE license or eligibility to take the PE exam within six months of hire.
