A Taste of What You'll Do
Step into a hands-on role where your work directly supports the production operations that bring quality products to life. As an Operator 1 at CalColor, you’ll play a key role in maintaining smooth production flow by operating equipment, supporting sanitation efforts, and ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met every day. From monitoring tank levels to building hose lineups and performing scheduled treatments, your attention to detail and commitment to process excellence will make a meaningful impact.
You’ll collaborate with team leaders and peers at the start of each shift to review schedules, equipment status, and priorities, ensuring seamless transitions between shifts. In this dynamic environment, you’ll continuously build new skills as you operate a variety of equipment, contribute to troubleshooting, and adapt to evolving processes. Communication is essential—you’ll keep your team informed on work status, identify opportunities for improvement, and uphold accountability for your assignments.
Safety and quality are at the heart of everything you do. You’ll help maintain a clean, organized workspace, proactively identify and address any potential hazards, and strictly follow GMP and PPE requirements. What You'll Need
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 1 year of Production/Operations experience.
- Required to successfully complete the training program for Operator 1 equipment centers within 90 days of employment.
- Required to maintain 3 shift availability (day, swing, and graveyard); required to work overtime when necessary.
- Required to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Required to wear a full face respirator, when respiratory hazards exist.
- Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Experience handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
