We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to our attorneys and contribute to the efficient operation of our practice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage attorney calendars and schedule appointments, hearings, depositions, and court appearances
• Coordinate and track discovery processes, including document requests, interrogatories, and production deadlines
• Prepare, format, and proofread legal pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
• File documents electronically with state and federal courts using their respective filing systems
• Navigate state and federal court websites to retrieve case information, monitor deadlines, and verify filing requirements
• Maintain organized electronic filing systems for client matters and case documents
• Create and maintain legal pleading shells and document templates
• Ensure compliance with court rules and filing procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a legal secretary (preferred)
• Working knowledge of California state court and federal court procedures
• Proficiency with electronic filing systems (e.g., TrueFiling, CM/ECF)
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
