Why Gallo Glass?
Gallo Glass, established in 1958, is a state-of-the-art highly-innovative glass manufacturer committed to meeting the needs of its customers while minimizing its impact on the environment. The largest glass plant on the West Coast, and the only glass plant in the world solely dedicated to the wine and spirits industry, Gallo Glass is a family owned and operated company. Running 24 hours a day 365 days a year, the plant turns 1500 tons of molten glass from natural raw materials all sourced in California, into 2 million bottles per day. Come see for yourself and join Gallo Glass: California Pure.
A Taste of What You’ll Do
Join Gallo Glass as a Sr. Engineer and lead critical segments of large-scale projects that directly shape our packaging and processing capability. You’ll use project management and technical expertise across disciplines—electrical, mechanical, chemical, packaging, or automation—to lead start-up teams, develop test and start-up plans, and translate cross-functional requirements into reliable, scalable solutions. Your work will span vendor reviews, prototype coordination, schematic development, statistical analysis for equipment settings, and hands-on troubleshooting to resolve work-in-process issues and improve operations.
You will partner closely with operations, quality, procurement, and R&D to ensure successful commissioning and sustainable performance, communicating plans, success criteria, and progress while listening and adapting based on stakeholder feedback. You’ll apply data-driven methods and experimental design to validate designs, optimize material choices and sequences of operation, and recommend practical improvements that meet safety, quality, and regulatory expectations. Training and mentoring others in technical complexities will be part of your impact, helping build team capability and ensuring smooth knowledge transfer.
We welcome diverse backgrounds, nontraditional career paths, and different ways of thinking. If you bring curiosity, strong collaboration skills, and a bias for practical problem solving—even if you don’t meet every listed qualification—we encourage you to apply. Gallo is an equal opportunity employer committed to accessibility and inclusion; accommodations are available for applicants who need them during the application or interview process. Join us to help shape the future of Gallo Glass.
