Position Summary

The 2nd shift Heat Treat General Laborer supports daily heat treat operations by assisting with part preparation, processing, inspection, and packaging activities. This role is responsible for safely handling parts, maintaining quality standards, completing required documentation, and supporting the team to ensure customer requirements are met. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on individual who is interested in learning the heat treat process and building a career in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform blasting, racking, packing, and other assigned production duties.
  • Follow and support all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Complete all required paperwork, documentation, and work orders accurately and timely.
  • Verify quality of completed work and inspect parts for defects, nicks, damage, or other quality concerns.
  • Ensure proper handling, packaging, and protection of parts to prevent damage and oxidation.
  • Review routing sheets and job instructions prior to processing to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.
  • Operate, maintain, and properly care for all equipment used within the work area.
  • Accurately count and verify parts throughout the blasting, oiling, racking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and assist others as needed to support production goals.
  • Demonstrate teamwork, a positive attitude, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or hands-on labor environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, job travelers, and basic documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Willingness to learn heat treat processes, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good attendance and reliable work history
  • Willingness to learn new machines and processes

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs regularly
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
