Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile Production Operator to manage both garment finishing and digital film printing. This role is split between operating high-quality commercial shirt presses and running our Mimaki digital film printer. You will be responsible for the end-to-end process of creating high-quality transfers and applying them to various apparel items.
Key Responsibilities
- Mimaki Printer Operation: Set up, load media, and monitor print jobs on the Mimaki printer to produce high-quality transfer films.
- Daily Maintenance: Perform essential printer care, including daily nozzle checks, printhead cleaning, and ink level monitoring to ensure consistent output.
- Shirt Pressing & Application: Operate commercial heat presses to apply printed films to garments, ensuring correct temperature, pressure, and dwell time for durable results.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect films for banding or nozzle dropouts and check finished garments for proper adhesion and alignment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Technical Aptitude: Experience with Mimaki, Roland, or similar large-format digital printers is highly preferred.
- Detail Oriented: Ability to identify minor print defects (e.g., ink smudging or misalignment) before they reach the pressing stage.
- Team player. Able to collaborate and communicate clearly and work well with others.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift heavy media rolls (up to 50 lbs), and work in a production environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
