Galley Hatch Restaurant is looking for a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team!

Our dish team plays an important role in keeping the restaurant running smoothly. This position is responsible for maintaining clean dishes, cookware, equipment, and work areas while supporting the culinary team throughout the shift.

Whether you have restaurant experience or are looking for your first job in the hospitality industry, we’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to be part of a team.

What You’ll Do

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and properly
• Keep the dish area clean, organized, and running efficiently throughout the shift
• Sort, organize, and return clean dishes and equipment to their proper locations
• Maintain a steady supply of clean dishes, cookware, and utensils for the kitchen and restaurant
• Sweep and mop floors and maintain cleanliness throughout assigned kitchen areas
• Empty trash and recycling and transport it to designated disposal areas
• Break down and dispose of cardboard and other materials as needed
• Assist with general kitchen cleaning and sanitation
• Help maintain clean and organized storage areas
• Follow proper sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety procedures
• Assist the culinary team with basic kitchen or prep tasks as needed
• Communicate with cooks, managers, and other team members to keep the kitchen running smoothly
• Complete opening and closing responsibilities as assigned
• Support other members of the team during busy service periods

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and work for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work around water, steam, heat, cleaning products, and wet surfaces
• Ability to safely move throughout a busy commercial kitchen

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
