Job Description:
Pharmacy Cashier: Galleria Medical Pharmacy is seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Cashier. As a Pharmacy Cashier, you will play a crucial role in a fast paced environment providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth transactions at our pharmacy counter.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist customers with prescription drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information on basic pharmacy service.
Cash Handling:
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods.
- Provide correct change and receipts to customers.
Prescription Processing:
- Assist in the collection of prescription information from customers.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure accurate processing of prescription orders.
Maintaining Cleanliness:
- Keep the pharmacy counter and cashier area clean and organized.
- Ensure the security of the cash register and follow cash-handling procedures.
Product Knowledge:
- Stay informed about the products we provide.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of pharmacy operations is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
