POSITION PURPOSE

A Concrete Formsetter is knowledgeable and familiar with procedures required for all types of concrete related forming systems including but not limited to: footers, walls, decks, stairs and elevator cores. Formsetters should be familiar with required forming of types of concrete flatwork including slab, stairs, sidewalks, drives, curb, gutter and concrete paving applications. Formsetters are required to complete work safely, with quality and within productivity specifications as directed by the foreman or superintendent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITES

• Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and check to ensure they are properly constructed. (30%)
• Moves discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms. (20%)
• Cut timber, lumber and/or paneling to specified dimensions, and drill holes in timbers and lumber. (15%)
• Perform tie spacing layout and measure, mark, drill or cut. (15%)
• Participates in daily huddles and practices safety as a priority on all job sites. (10%)

REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of concrete or construction experience.
• Attention to detail with demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness.
