Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and lead recreational activities and events, such as exercise classes, arts and crafts, and social gatherings
- Develop and implement activity calendars to ensure a diverse range of activities for residents
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement activities that cater to the unique needs and abilities of our residents
- Coordinate and participate in special events, such as holiday celebrations, birthday parties, and theme days
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity logs
- Supervise and train activity assistants and volunteers
- Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations and businesses to enhance program offerings
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in activities direction or related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
