What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fairgrounds Temporary Maintenance Worker position at Gallatin County?
The Gallatin County Fairgrounds is hiring Temporary Maintenance Workers for the 2024 Big Sky Country State Fair. Dates Required: June 9th, 2025 – July 25th, 2025
Duties:
- Custodial, cleaning buildings, emptying garbage cans, servicing restrooms, cleaning stalls and barns.
- Event prep, setting up tables, chairs, display equipment, stock panels, etc.
- Basic handyman skills and tool proficiency
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Able to work with public.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must provide own hat and gloves.
- Work outside majority of the time in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to work varying shifts and weekends as needed.
Hours:
- 40 hours per week minimum with coffee and meal break.
- Assigned shifts of 6A – 3P; 2P – 11P; 10P – 7A during Big Sky Country State Fair July 16 – 20, 2025
