Gallaher Fleet Solutions is seeking a disciplined, high-level Mobile Diesel Technician to join our Charlotte operations. This role is designed for the experienced professional who values technical skills, a predictable schedule, and a direct stake in the company’s success.
By transitioning from the traditional shop environment to our mobile division, you will manage your own workflow with the help of the Mobile Service Manager while enjoying a structured four-day work week and consistent three-day weekends.
The Role: Technical Independence
As a Mobile Technician, you are the frontline representative of Gallaher Fleet Solutions. You will operate independently across the Charlotte area, performing high-level diagnostics and repairs on a diverse fleet of heavy-duty equipment.
- Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical issues across Cummins, Detroit, Kenworth, Freightliner, Duramax, and Power stroke systems.
- Field Operations: Executing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs with 75% local travel.
- Professional Culture: We maintain a collaborative environment. We host quarterly team-building events and "Free Lunch Fridays" to ensure our field-based team stays connected and supported.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional diesel engine repair and diagnostics.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of modern diagnostic software and heavy-duty mechanical systems.
- Reliability: A track record of independent work ethic and professional communication.
- Logistics: Must be willing to travel locally within the Charlotte region (75% travel).
Compensation & Strategic Benefits
- Base Salary: $32.00 – $42.00 per hour (commensurate with diagnostic expertise).
- Performance Incentives: Monthly profit sharing of up to $700, rewarding efficiency and quality.
- Schedule: Full-time, 4x10-hour shifts.
