Job Overview
Gallagher Vinyl Products is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to oversee our physical plant infrastructure and production machinery. You will be responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, maintaining facility electrical/mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment & Machinery Maintenance
- Operational Uptime: Direct and manage all routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance for production machinery, automated assembly lines, and industrial equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Lead root-cause analysis and hands-on troubleshooting for complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical (up to 480V 3-phase) failures.
- Controls & Automation: Oversee or assist with PLC troubleshooting, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and sensor integration.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Develop, execute, and continually optimize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to reduce unscheduled downtime.
Facility & Electrical Infrastructure
- Facility Operations: Oversee building infrastructure, including electrical distribution systems, lighting, HVAC, air compressors, plumbing, and structural maintenance.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with OSHA standards, NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety), local building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Select, manage, and negotiate contracts with external service providers (e.g., electrical contractors, HVAC specialists, fire safety inspection).
Leadership & Operations
- Spare Parts & Inventory: Manage critical spare parts inventory to ensure quick replacement while controlling holding costs.
- Budget & Capex: Oversee the maintenance department budget and assist plant leadership with capital expenditure (CapEx) planning for new machinery and facility upgrades.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 5 years of maintenance leadership experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or heavy production environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in 480V 3-phase power, industrial electrical systems, mechanical repair, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Automation: Practical experience with PLCs, industrial sensors, and motor controls.
- Education/Certifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent trade school certification preferred.
- Licensed Electrician, CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional), or OSHA certifications are a strong plus.
- Software Skills: Proficiency with CMMS platforms (for work orders and inventory) and basic MS Office/ERP tools.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
