What are the responsibilities and job description for the Route Service Representative position at GALLAGHER UNIFORM?
Summary:
The Route Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional service to an established customer base through the pick-up and delivery of uniforms, mats, towels, etc.. The Route Service Representative must effectively respond to the customer’s needs and also introduce new products as needed. The Route Service Representative will consistently maintain and present a professional image of Gallagher Uniform through excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide service in the most professional, timely and courteous way possible
- Drive considerately and safely at all times
- Be thoroughly knowledgeable of Gallagher’s products, services and follow all policies and procedures
- Exchange clean goods for dirty and accurately record amounts into a handheld device
- Renew Service Agreements
- Help achieve annual sales targets and average weekly revenue quotas by upselling additional products and service to customers
- Work 1 "overnight" route per week - packing for 2 full days and staying in the designated area overnight to save on drive time (stipend for the overnight is paid)
Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
- High School degree or equivalent
- Chauffer’s license and a driving record that meets Gallagher Uniform’s insurance carrier standards
- Active DOT Card or the ability to obtain and maintain a 1-2 year DOT card
- Able to lift and carry bundles weighing up to 85 pounds short distances
- Able to climb in and out of a truck several times a day in all kinds of weather
- Outgoing, engaging personality
- Organized with strong communication skills
- Able to manage time and meet deadlines
- Non Tobacco user; No smoking or vaping allowed during work hours
