Overview
At Gallagher, we’re looking for a skilled P&C Actuary to join our team. You’ll work on diverse projects that require actuarial expertise, helping clients assess risks, design insurance plans, and calculate premiums. This is a role where your analytical skills and insights will make a meaningful impact.
How you'll make an impact
You’ll lead and manage complex projects, providing expert advice on property and casualty insurance. You’ll analyze risk data, calculate reserves, and design plans that ensure financial stability and profitability.
You’ll perform actuarial analysis to develop loss models, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine optimal reinsurance structures based on client risk profiles and underwriting strategies. You’ll present your findings in clear, audience-appropriate terms and deliver value-added services to clients.
You’ll also assist in market research and development, contributing to studies that position Gallagher Re as a thought leader in the reinsurance and primary insurance markets. You’ll collaborate closely with other analytical associates, including actuaries, catastrophe modelers, and capital markets experts, to deliver comprehensive solutions.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree; 7 years related experience.
- Knowledge in relevant regulations where appropriate to role (e.g., state and federal benefits regulations, underwriting, benefit or insurance products).
- Professional accreditation as Associate, Society of Actuaries (ASA) and/or Fellow, Society of Actuaries (FSA), or Fellow of the IFoA (FIA or equivalent).
- Demonstrates effective Client management skills; Project management skills; Communication skills; Analytical skills; Attention to detail; Financial acumen; Business acumen.
Compensation and benefits
We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
