About Gallagher Pediatric Therapy

Since 1988, Gallagher Pediatric Therapy (GPT) has been providing exceptional educationally based pediatric therapy services in Southern California. As a California Non-Public Agency (“NPA”), our team includes occupational therapy and physical therapy practitioners working in school settings, focusing on improving each child’s functional skills related to his or her performance in an educational environment.

Our main, 11,000 sq. ft. clinic and administrative offices are located at 233 Orangefair Mall in Fullerton, California. To support our work with more than 40 school districts across Los Angeles and Orange Counties, we also operate several satellite clinics in key areas including Montebello, Rowland, Whittier, Cerritos, Covina, Hawthorne, and Long Beach.

GPT therapists integrate occupational and physical therapy services into the school environment by collaborating with each school’s educational staff and parents of the child to achieve the goals of each student’s Individual Education Plan (“IEP”).

At Gallagher Pediatric Therapy, we represent a culture of community, teamwork and inclusivity. We value hard work and dedication to our students while encouraging a collaborative network within the company, through social outings, holiday events, and team competitions.

Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and skilled part-time or full-time Occupational Therapy Practitioners to join our school-based team, serving children and young adults from 2 to 21 years of age to promote students’ functional engagement in their most meaningful occupations: Education and Play. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations, deliver therapeutic intervention, and collaborate with Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams, consisting of parents and professionals from varied disciplines to support student success across educational settings and learning environments.

The ideal candidate will employ a range of evidence-based practices—including play-based therapy, strategies informed by sensory integration theory and behavioral interventions in collaboration with educational staff. This includes making targeted recommendations and providing interventions through direct treatment, collaboration, environmental modifications and accommodations, and the use of assistive technology.
