Gallagher Ford Lincoln is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Elko, Nevada. This role is ideal for a technician that has full-range diagnostic and repair experience. You’ll be responsible for performing mechanical repairs and diagnostics in all areas of vehicle systems while upholding the highest standards of accuracy and customer satisfaction.

- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance outlined on work orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunctions and complete repairs as needed
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary components
- Save and tag parts as required, especially for warranty or customer requests
- Conduct multi-point inspections and determine additional service needs
- Collaborate with service advisors to update on additional work, repair times, or unneeded services
- Document all work performed and recommendations on the repair order
- Conduct road tests when necessary or assist with vehicle testing
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Participate in continued training to stay current with manufacturer standards

2 years of Service Technician experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent

B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair

Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
