Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications and providing essential care to residents in various settings. Your expertise will ensure that our residents receive the highest quality of care while maintaining their dignity and independence.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established protocols.
- Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to the appropriate healthcare staff.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation, fostering a supportive environment for residents.
- Document medication administration and resident care in electronic health records (EHR) system Point Click Care.
- Provide care for residents with specific needs, including those requiring memory care support.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Engage with residents to promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medication Technician is required.
- Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or nursing home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology and medication administration protocols is essential.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as PCC is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
