Description:
- Collaborate in the assembling processes and general needs of the production area
- Perform all operations related to the production of products
- Read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, or receive
- verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
- Perform mechanical assembly of final assemblies and sub-assemblies
- Use hand tools, power tools, machines and equipment as required for production and projects
- Perform assembly operations or inspection as required
- Perform intermediate assembly tasks
- Operates crane or directs overhead crane operator to move structural framework and machine parts to assembly area.
- Assembles prefabricated metal assemblies according to blueprint specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and hoisting equipment.
- Positions specified component parts in housings on frame of machine, using electric hoist.
- Bolts steel frame members together.
- Bolts sheet metal panels to framework.
- Reads blueprint to determine location of items and installs items, using cutting torch, wrenches, and power drill.
- Other duties as assigned.
- ! to 3 years experience in mechanical discipline
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience working with large machinery
- Familiarity with standard power and hand tools
- Able to read blueprints
