DEALERSHIP OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Gales Auto Group is looking for a motivated, dependable person to join our growing pre-owned dealership.

This is not just a porter, detailer or lot attendant position.

We are a growing dealership and aren't large enough to have a separate person for every department yet. We need a utility player who enjoys vehicles, stays organized, works with a sense of urgency and is willing to jump in wherever needed to keep the dealership moving.

Your main responsibility is simple:

Help us get vehicles from PURCHASED ? RECONDITIONED ? FRONT-LINE READY ? SOLD ? DELIVERED.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Receive and organize incoming inventory

• Inspect incoming vehicles and identify obvious needs, damage or concerns

• Help coordinate vehicles going through mechanical repairs, body work, detailing and reconditioning

• Track where vehicles are in the reconditioning process and help make sure they continue moving

• Make sure vehicles don't sit unnecessarily waiting for the next step

• Move and organize inventory on the lot

• Transport vehicles to and from auctions, repair facilities, body shops and other vendors

• Pick up vehicles, parts, paperwork and dealership supplies when needed

• Take quality photos and videos of inventory for online listings

• Help prepare and maintain online vehicle listings

• From time to time, capture day-to-day dealership content for social media, including new arrivals, sold vehicles, behind-the-scenes activity and other things happening around the dealership

• Post or assist with Facebook and Instagram stories when needed

• Be comfortable occasionally appearing in photos or short videos and helping showcase vehicles

• Look for simple opportunities to capture content that keeps Gales Auto Group active and visible online

• Install buyer guides, window stickers, tags and other vehicle information

• Keep vehicle keys and inventory organized

• Make sure vehicles are clean, fueled and ready for customer delivery

• Assist customers when needed

• Help with test drives and basic sales support

• Assist our detailer when necessary

• Help maintain a clean, organized and professional dealership, lot and work environment

• Handle miscellaneous dealership projects and errands

• See something that needs to be done and TAKE OWNERSHIP OF IT

WHO WE WANT

We can teach you the car business.

We can't teach work ethic, attitude or the willingness to take ownership.

We're looking for someone who:

• Doesn't need someone constantly telling them what to do next

• Is organized and pays attention to details

• Is comfortable around vehicles

• Is mechanically inclined or has basic automotive knowledge

• Can communicate professionally with customers and vendors

• Is comfortable using computers, smartphones and technology

• Is comfortable taking photos and short videos with a smartphone

• Has a valid driver's license and good driving record

• Is willing to learn different parts of the dealership

• Takes pride in keeping things clean and organized

• Doesn't have a "that's not my job" mentality

• Wants more responsibility as they prove themselves

THE OPPORTUNITY

This position has room to grow.

The right person will have the opportunity to learn inventory management, vehicle acquisition, auctions, reconditioning, dealership operations, online merchandising, customer service, sales support and other areas of the automotive business.

As Gales Auto Group grows, we want this person to grow with us.

We're not necessarily looking for someone with years of dealership experience. However that would be nice.

Someone dependable, hungry, organized and willing to learn who wants an opportunity to become an important part of a growing automotive business.

We want someone who can walk into the dealership, look around and recognize what needs to happen next without always having to be told.
