Job Title: Server
Reports To: Food and Beverage Manager
Summary: The Server is responsible for providing dining and table services to Galerie Management residents in the communities main dining rooms and secondary restaurants in accordance with company standards.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Take and serve food and drink orders from residents and their guests. Always be aware of the special, soup, desserts, and any other specialties for that particular meal
- Provide excellent customer service that promotes resident satisfaction
- Arrange table settings and maintain clean and tidy tables
- Acknowledge table with appropriate greeting, by name if a resident, within 3 minutes of the time they are seated
- Check frequently with the table to ensure excellence in food and service
- Properly remove soiled dishes
- Ensure compliance procedures are in place, especially hand washing, glove usage, labeling, and rotation
- Complete daily prep work according to the daily menu and/or as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager
- Ensure proper storage and food handling adheres to all regulations and guidelines
- Maintain clean and sanitized working areas
- Function as a team and assist co-workers as the need arises

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- One (1) year of related experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Is willing to work flexible hours
- Ability to relate to residents in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances
Working Conditions: Specific physical requirements are outlined in accordance with the American Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA)
- Requires interaction with co-workers, residents, or vendors
- Occasional weekend, evening, or night work if needed to ensure shift coverage
- 100% time spent on site in community setting
- Possible exposure to communicable disease and infections

- Possible exposure to various drugs, chemical, infectious, or biological hazards
- Subject to injury from falls, burns, odors, or cuts from equipment
