Summary/Objective
Assist the Accounting Department in handling payroll and general bookkeeping duties.
Essential Functions:
- Process bi-weekly & monthly payroll using third party payroll vendor software.
- Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
- Manage time and attendance processes.
- Coordinator year-end W-2 reconciliations with third party payroll vendor.
- Reconcile benefits payable invoices to payroll registers
- Manage bank and general ledger reconciliations, including coordinating with other departments to gather necessary data
- Handle daily bookkeeping functions and cash flow
- Compile data from a variety of sources and departments to balance and maintain spreadsheets.

- Maintain confidentiality of all patient, medical, financial, and legal information.
- Report to work on time and as scheduled.
- Wear identification during work hours.
- Represent the organization in a positive & professional manner.
WORKING HOURS:
- Work hours can be PRN, Pro-rated FT or FT based on needs of the site.
- Weekends, holidays and overtime must be worked as required by department.
- Galen reserves the right to change the work schedule of any employee when it is considered in the best interest of the organization.
- The reasonable scheduling of overtime is the prerogative of Galen, and employees will be expected to work such overtime unless excused by their supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Must have 3 years Payroll, Bookkeeping & Accounting experience.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Excellent organization, written and communication skills.
- Attention to details.
- Computer literate.
- Microsoft Office experience.
