SUMMARY:

The Café Gianna Barista is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and serve high-quality beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, equipment, and seating areas.
• Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
• Provide recommendations and educate customers about menu items and coffee varieties.
• Operate coffee-making equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
• Handle cash and credit transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
• Comply with health and safety regulations.
• Attend training sessions and stay updated on new products and techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role is preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee preparation and brewing methods.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent; barista training or certification is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).

REASONING ABILITY:

• Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and external partners.
• Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations.
