Contract Attorney

Gale Associates, Inc. is seeking a part-time, up to 20 hours per week, remote, Contract Attorney. Gale is a well-respected national, professional engineering/planning firm celebrating over 61 years in business and rated one of Zweig Whites Best Firms to Work For for the past 12 consecutive years.

Position Responsibilities:

• Review, draft, and revise general business contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and purchase order vendor terms.
• Identify potential legal and insurance risks, and compliance issues.
• Consult and advise internal stakeholders on contract terms and negotiation strategies. May assist with client contract negotiations.
• Maintain contract templates and ensure consistency with corporate policies and applicable laws.
• Provide clear, practical legal guidance on a wide range of commercial matters.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 10 years of experience in contract review, commercial transactions, and corporate law.
• Strong understanding of standard contract language including business and insurance terms for professional service firms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Responsive, and able to respond to contract reviews in 48 hours.
• Experience working independently and remotely.

This is a contract labor position and is not benefits eligible.
