CNC Programmer

Job Purpose: Creates quality products by creating programs in Mastercam for CNC machinery.   Must have at least 2 years of experience in Mastercam to be considered for this position. 

Due to ITAR Requirements, all applicants must be U.S. citizens.   This is a fully on-site position, located in Winfield, KS. 

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Creates and generates CNC programs for assigned jobs.

2. Capable of creating basic wire frame and surface geometry.

3. Ensures quality standards by following jobs through on machines.

4. Support other programmers on defined tasks under their instructions.

5. Communicates job specifics with other departments and coworkers including program managers, programmers, and night shift.

6. Creates DXF files for Waterjet.

7. Checks prints to model and examines statement of work.

8. Properly file programs.

9. Becomes familiar with the quality system requirements as they pertain to the department.

10. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Secures tools, materials and equipment at end of day.

11. Contributes to team effort by actively participating in team meetings.

12. Provides assistance to coworkers and other departments.

1. High school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of programming and machining or other related experience generally required.

4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, procedure manuals and job instructions.

6. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

9. Ability to operate computer and computer software, to include Microsoft Office products and CAM software.

10. Ability to use department equipment such as calipers and measuring equipment.

11. Ability to use precision measuring tools such as I.D. and O.D. micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges.

12. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
