What You'll Do
- Prospect for, develop and win new relationships with real estate investors, property owners, developers and business owners in Queens, Brooklyn and Nassau County.
- Build a referral network of commercial brokers, attorneys, accountants and property managers.
- Work with the bank's lending and credit teams to move deals from first conversation through underwriting and closing.
- Grow full relationships by bringing clients' operating accounts and treasury services to the bank.
- Represent the bank in the community and at industry events.
- Proven ability to build relationships and generate business. You are comfortable picking up the phone and starting a conversation with a business owner.
- Working knowledge of commercial real estate: how a building's income and cash flow work, and what property owners need from their bank.
- Background in commercial banking or lending, or in a related field such as commercial real estate brokerage, commercial mortgage brokerage, property management, title or appraisal, where you worked directly with property owners and investors.
- Familiarity with the Queens and Brooklyn real estate market. An existing network there is a strong plus.
- Strong communication skills and a professional presence.
- Based in the NYC metro area and able to work from the bank's Queens office.
