JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a talented SQL Developer who is passionate about data in all its forms. In this role, you will be part of a talented team working to analyze and improve large, complex datasets in a high-profile, mission critical platform. The ideal candidate will have exceptional expertise in SQL and relational data architecture and have deep experience in Business Intelligence and data quality.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with data owners and stakeholders across the firm to analyze and identify data quality issues in large, complex datasets
- Optimize database views and queries to improve performance
- Execute high-sensitivity data backfills to improve data quality
- Understand the data model across multiple business domains and identify gaps in the model
- Design and create highly-optimized table structures and views
Skills and Requirements:
- 10 years of overall professional software development experience.
- 7 years of relational and columnar database development experience with strong knowledge of writing complex SQL and stored procedures.
- Strong ability to build and optimize SQL queries from a performance perspective
- Experience in various data architectures such as domain-driven architecture
- Strong knowledge of open-source libraries for data processing like Airflow.
- Ability to understand complex business processes and data, ideally within financial companies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with visualization tools like Tableau
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Knowledge and automated testing and data quality tools
- Python experience
