Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Analyze business and functional requirements to define comprehensive test strategies, scenarios, and test cases.
- Perform end-to-end functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing across banking applications, as applicable
- Educate/train the test automation team on what should be automated
- Validate banking workflows, business rules, interfaces, APIs, and data integrity across FIS-enabled applications.
- Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools
- Execute manual and automated test cases, document results, and report defects using standard defect management tools (JIRA).
- Participate in CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives.
- Partner with development teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects in a timely manner.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Perform root cause analysis for production issues and support release validation activities.
- Support compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and quality assurance best practices where applicable
- Prepare test execution reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards for daily status updates.
- Ability to self-organized based on demanding priorities and provide adhoc test data requests when needed
- Use Amex AI toolkits to further enhance and optimize the end-to-end test management lifecycle
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Work with product and engineering stakeholders
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools – Karate, Cypress
- Keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence
- Be willing to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them
- Be open to receiving constructive feedback and turning it into process improvements
- Experience triggering testing in the context of CI environments
- Experience with WireMock, Jmeter, Selenium, Jenkins, Postman is nice to have
