Role: Cassandra / DataStax L3 DBA – RTP, NC | PST Shift
Primary Skills – Mandatory
6 years of experience in Apache Cassandra / DataStax Enterprise (DSE) administration.
Strong hands-on production experience as a Cassandra L3 DBA/SME.
Linux-based on-prem Cassandra administration.
Cassandra/DataStax cluster installation, configuration, upgrades and patching.
Experience with node addition/removal, scaling, cluster expansion and data-center expansion.
Strong knowledge of Cassandra architecture, replication factor, consistency levels, partitioning and token/ring management.
Hands-on experience with backup, restore, repair, replication and compaction strategies.
Experience troubleshooting Cassandra performance issues involving CPU, memory, disk I/O, latency, tombstones, SSTables and compaction.
Strong experience with DataStax OpsCenter for monitoring, administration, alerts and troubleshooting.
Experience with Cassandra Spark and Graph workloads is preferred.
Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills.
Secondary Skills
Redis Stack administration/support.
Kubernetes-based Cassandra/database administration — good to have.
PostgreSQL / MongoDB / MySQL — working knowledge preferred.
Willingness and ability to learn MS SQL Server.
