About The Role
As a Behavior Technician (ABA Therapy), you will:
- Work one-on-one with children, implementing skill-building and behavior-reduction plans designed by a BCBA
- Use play-based, child-led approaches to make therapy fun and engaging
- Collect data on client progress and complete session documentation
- Collaborate with supervisors, parents, and team members
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and professional environment
- High school diploma (required); Associate's or Bachelor's in Psychology, Education, or related field (preferred)
- Completion of 40-hour RBT training (or willingness to complete within the first six months of employment)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to engage in active play, lift up to 40 lbs, and ensure client safety
- Ability to pass background checks (FBI, CPS, State of VA) and provide CPR, HIPAA, and TB clearance (support provided)
- Prior ABA, childcare, or behavioral health experience is a plus—but training is provided for the right candidate
