Senior Training Specialist with Security Clearance

Overview Job Summary Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly qualified Senior Training Specialist - Space Control Systems Operator to support the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command (USASMDC) and the Space and Missile Defense Center of Excellence (SMDCoE), also known as the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense School. The Senior Training Specialist will educate, train, and develop leaders in Space and Missile Defense operations. Responsibilities include supporting the development of Army doctrine for Space, High Altitude, and Global Missile Defense; creating individual and collective training tasks; and delivering instruction across the Army. The role also supports the U.S. Army Quality Assurance Program to ensure training and leader development standards are met. This position provides direct support to the Space Operations Training Division. Key Responsibilities The Senior Training Specialist will:

• Provide subject matter expertise on space capabilities and their integration into Army operations
• Deliver instruction and training for SMDS courses, primarily the Space Control Systems Operator Qualification Course
• Train personnel on space control systems and satellite communications interference analysis, including system operations, mission planning, virtual training environments, troubleshooting, C2 operations, and intelligence support
• Develop and maintain lesson plans, training materials, and course content in accordance with TR 350-70 and Army accreditation standards
• Design and implement training evaluations, conduct demonstrations, and assess student performance
• Apply the ADDIE methodology to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate training programs
• Conduct research on emerging threats to Army space-enabled capabilities and update or develop training materials accordingly
• Coordinate with SMDS training divisions to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with institutional training standards
• Conduct After Action Reviews (AARs) and analyze results to identify trends and improve training effectiveness
• Travel as required to support training missions Requirements Skills and Experience The Senior Training Specialist must have:
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• 10 years of space-related military experience (NCO or Company Grade Officer)
• Experience with Offensive Space Operations (Space Control) and Counter-SATCOM systems and missions
• Proficiency in operating space control systems and conducting satellite communications interference analysis
• Working knowledge of the microwave portion of the electromagnetic spectrum
• Strong understanding of space fundamentals and military operations.
• Knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP)
• Experience in instructional delivery, facilitation, and briefing senior leadership
• Ability to translate complex space concepts to non-space personnel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Familiarity with the ADDIE instructional design model Education and Certifications The Senior Training Specialist must have the following: Required
• MOSQ: 35S or 35M, FA40, Space 200, ASCBC, ASCF, Space Control Operator, or other relevant space courses
• Graduate of a military instructor training course (CFD-IC, ITC/SGITC, FIFC, ABIC, AFBIC, etc.)
• Experience with trouble shooting procedures of SATCOM terminals and associated terrestrial equipment
• Experience with C2 systems and processes supporting USSPACECOM

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
