Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Desktop Support Engineer with strong experience in endpoint support, security compliance, and IT operations. The ideal candidate will provide technical support for end-user systems while ensuring adherence to organizational security standards, compliance policies, and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1/Level 2 desktop support for Windows/Mac environments.
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Support Microsoft Office 365, Outlook, Teams, VPN, and remote access tools.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls using Active Directory/Azure AD.
- Ensure systems comply with organizational security policies and compliance standards.
- Perform endpoint patching, antivirus updates, vulnerability remediation, and software deployments.
- Monitor and respond to security alerts, endpoint risks, and compliance violations.
- Support endpoint security tools such as CrowdStrike, Defender, Symantec, McAfee, or similar.
- Maintain asset inventory, device encryption, and endpoint management solutions (Intune/SCCM/Jamf).
- Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and documentation for security controls.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and printer-related issues.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and security teams for incident resolution.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
- Support onboarding/offboarding activities including device provisioning and access management.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Desktop Support / IT Support roles.
- Experience with Windows 10/11 and Mac OS environments.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, and Office 365.
- Experience with endpoint management tools such as SCCM, Intune, JAMF, or Ivanti.
- Understanding of security compliance standards such as HIPAA, SOX, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, or NIST.
- Familiarity with endpoint security and vulnerability management tools.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN).
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Security , Microsoft MD-100/MD-101, or ITIL.
- Experience supporting remote/hybrid users.
- Exposure to MFA, DLP, BitLocker, and Zero Trust security concepts.
- Scripting knowledge (PowerShell/Bash) is a plus.
