Production Supervisor-Welding

Summary of Job Function:
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will primarily be responsible for ensuring that production requirements are achieved, that safety, quality, and cost metrics are met and that shop rules are fully enforced. The Production Supervisor should have a minimum of 3 years of related experience.

Requirements
We are searching for a candidate with:

• Associate degree preferred or a minimum 3 years working in a manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and handle multiple priorities.
• Knowledge and experience with Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Welding experience or knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety requirements and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

A typical day may include: 
 

• Establish safety rules and PPE requirements per department. Monitor and maintain the safety of all employees and provide guidance for a safe and productive work environment.
• Responsible for hourly employees within their department.
• Be a visible presence on the shop floor, monitoring and maintaining the productivity and safety of all employees.
• Provide guidance for a safe and productive work environment.
• Hands-on daily supervision of production to meet department and company objectives.
• Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Ensure weekly production is well-planned and achievable. Standardize procedures to improve the efficiency of workers.
• Monitor and support intra-plant production and deliveries.
• Track delivery and quality issues in departments and implement corrective actions.
• Fully enforce the shop rules.
• Support engineering projects, new product development, and introductions.
• Implement 5S standards in all areas of the plant.

Position Details

• Full time
• Day shifts, generally 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Based in Quincy, IL (In-Person)
• The pay range for this position is based on experience and skillset ($60,000 - $70,000)
