Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Millwork Finisher to join our finishing department. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of wood finishing techniques, materials, and quality expectations in a custom millwork environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare wood surfaces for finishing (sanding, filling, staining, sealing)
• Apply stains, dyes, paints, sealers, and topcoats to millwork and cabinetry
• Match colors and finishes to approved samples and specifications
• Operate spray equipment)
• Maintain consistent finish quality across custom and production work
• Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary corrections
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized finishing area
• Collaborate with shop supervisors, project managers, and quality control
  
  

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in millwork or cabinet finishing
• Strong knowledge of stains, lacquers, conversion varnishes, water-based finishes and urethane.
• Experience with color matching and custom finish development
• Ability to read shop drawings and finish schedules
• High attention to detail and quality
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
