Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Claims Screening Examiner to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, processing, and verifying medical claims using standard procedures. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

Your role in our mission

• Review and screen incoming medical claims for completeness and accuracy.
• Interpret and process claims using standardized claim forms (CMS 1500, UB04).
• Follow basic written instructions and established procedures for claim validation.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date claim files.
• Manage workload efficiently and meet daily productivity and accuracy expectations.
• Communicate with internal teams as needed for clarification or escalations.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with CMS 1500 and UB04 medical claim forms.
• Previous office experience required.
• Ability to follow written instructions and procedural guideliness.
• Experience with claim processing is preferred.
  
  

What You Should Expect In This Role

• This role is onsite at our Baton Rouge, LA office.
• This role is fully onsite; no remote or hybrid options are available.
• Work schedule is Monday to Friday, between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation.
  
  

The pay range for this position is $30,500.00 - $43,500.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
